Schools, districts and trip sponsors can submit a trip, competition, leadership event or other enrichment opportunity directly to WOLF for review. WOLF reviews the opportunity first, then coordinates the student scholarship pathway with the sponsor.

WOLF's model begins with review of the trip or program itself. The school, district or sponsor submits the opportunity through the WOLF Trip Support Form so WOLF can understand the educational purpose, student group, costs, payment deadlines and proposed payee before families are asked to apply.

The form is the preferred way for a school or trip sponsor to request WOLF review. It creates a consistent record of the opportunity and gives WOLF the information needed for an initial eligibility and funding review.

What to send
Information that helps WOLF review the opportunity.
The WOLF Trip Support Form asks for the core information needed for an initial review. Sponsors should have the following details available before submitting.
School or district. Name of the sponsoring school, district or approved educational organization.
Primary sponsor. Name, title, email address and phone number for the person coordinating the opportunity.
Trip or program. Name, destination or event, dates and the educational purpose for students.
Student group. Grades or student organization involved and the approximate number of participating students.
Costs. Estimated cost per student, total program cost, deposits and important payment deadlines.
Payee information. Who receives payment: school, district, travel provider, conference, competition or another approved vendor.
Other assistance. Known fundraising, school support or other resources that may reduce the remaining student cost.
Timing. The date by which the sponsor needs scholarship decisions so students can participate without missing deadlines.
The process
From school contact to student scholarship.
School or sponsor submits the trip form.
The sponsor completes the WOLF Trip Support Form with the educational purpose, student group, estimated costs, deadlines and payee information.
WOLF reviews the opportunity.
WOLF determines whether the proposed expenses and structure fit WOLF's mission and applicable scholarship requirements, subject to final federal guidance and WOLF program rules.
WOLF and the sponsor coordinate the application pathway.
If the opportunity is accepted for consideration, WOLF provides instructions that can be shared with potentially eligible students and families.
Students apply individually.
WOLF—not the school or trip sponsor—verifies eligibility and makes scholarship decisions under uniform, published criteria.
Approved scholarship costs are paid directly.
WOLF expects to pay the school, district or approved provider directly whenever practicable and to document cancellations, credits and refunds.
